What is Studera.ai?

Studera.ai is an AI platform where you can generate lessons, assess student texts, generate tests, podcasts, quizzes, flashcards, study sets, images, and lesson plans – all with AI. You can also share generated material with students via Studera.ai or print it. You choose what the generated material should be based on, such as a document or custom instructions.

Which AI models do you use?

We provide our own AI model (Studera.ai) that we constantly fine-tune to optimize performance for our users' needs and ensure that generated materials are of the best possible quality. In addition, we support several leading AI models such as Claude Sonnet and Sonnet 3.5 from Anthropic, Google Gemini, Mistral Large, and ChatGPT 4o from OpenAI. You choose which AI model you want to use.

What control do I have as a teacher over AI-generated material?

You have full transparency and control over all AI-generated material. Everything generated by AI is logged and can be reviewed afterwards – you can always see how the AI reasoned and on what grounds the material was generated. You can always review, change, and delete what our AI generates, giving you full control over the content. Our AI model is specially developed and validated to generate pedagogical materials with high precision and fairness.

How is student data and data protection handled in accordance with GDPR?

We protect student data and personal information according to GDPR with secure and anonymous storage. When a student responds to, for example, a quiz, this is stored securely and anonymously in our database for as long as you want. You can remove all student data permanently at any time. No information is shared with unauthorized parties and you always have the right to access and deletion. We also ensure that our AI takes diversity and inclusion into account when creating content.

Is the pedagogical material inclusive and characterized by diversity?

Yes, ensuring that all students in the classroom, regardless of background and personal identity, can feel included in the pedagogical materials generated is one of our highest priorities. Therefore, the images and lesson materials generated will represent a broad spectrum of perspectives, cultures, and experiences. We thus strive to generate materials that reflect a diversity of stories and individuals, to promote an inclusive and respectful learning environment where all students feel seen and valued.

How many languages do you support?

Studera.ai supports over 50 different languages. We strive to include both major world languages and smaller languages from the Middle East, Africa, and Asia to ensure we meet the needs of as many teachers and students as possible.

Do I as a teacher have to check all materials that are generated?

We recommend the 80-20 principle: Let AI handle the foundation and initial work, but ensure that the last 20% gets your personal touch to create content that is both relevant and context-adapted. All according to the EU AI Act.

How do I share materials with students?

When you have generated a quiz, flashcards, or a lesson, you can easily share the material through a shareable link to students (no student account required), or you can create a student room in Studera.ai, invite students, and when students register via the link, they automatically end up in your student room. You can then easily share materials with individual students or all students.

Is it free?

Yes, Studera.ai is a free service developed for teachers, by teachers. However, there is a daily limit on how much you can generate. If you want unlimited use, you need to upgrade to a premium account that costs $9/month. We also offer school licenses.
