Privacy Policy (GDPR)

This privacy policy describes how Studera.ai collects, processes and protects personal data in accordance with GDPR. The service is adapted for school environments and prioritizes student and teacher data in terms of security, privacy and legal requirements.

1. What Personal Data We Collect

Email address (for account or Google login)

Name or display name

Data from Google Drive / Classroom (only if you enable the integration):

File names and metadata from selected documents

Text content from documents you choose to import

Course information from Google Classroom

Submission files and text content you select

2. How We Use the Data

Provide the service's functionality

Communication about your account

Import and analyze student texts (when you activate the feature)

Fulfill legal obligations

Prevent misuse of the service

3. AI Processing & Data Security

Student texts are automatically anonymized before AI processing

Original texts are deleted immediately after assessment

AI never makes decisions – the teacher always has the final word

No data is used for AI training

During AI processing, the text is temporarily sent to a trusted AI provider solely to generate the assessment. The provider does not store the content and does not use it for model training.

4. Data Storage and Protection

Data is stored within the EU

Data is encrypted (AES-256 at rest, TLS 1.3 in transit)

Access is strictly limited and logged

You can delete all material at any time

5. Sharing of Personal Data

Studera.ai never sells data and does not share personal data for advertising, analytics or model training. Sharing only occurs if:

It is required for authentication (e.g. Google Login)

It is required for service operation

It is required by law

5b. Google Integration (Drive, Classroom & Docs)

Integration with Google Drive, Google Classroom and Google Docs is completely voluntary. Studera.ai only gets access to the files, courses and documents you select. We never use Google data for model training and never share it with third parties.

Limited Use of Google Data

Studera.ai's use of Google data follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including Limited Use requirements. Google data is only used for the functions you initiate – never for analytics, advertising, model training or other purposes.

Storage and Protection of Google Data

Student texts are never saved – deleted after AI processing

OAuth tokens are encrypted

AI feedback is saved without original text

Access is limited and logged

How Long We Keep Google Data

Student texts are deleted immediately after assessment

Tokens are only saved while you are logged in

You can revoke access via Google Security Settings

You can delete all account-related data at any time
